Introduction: I was tasked with developing a training module to use within a basic health insurance and coding course at Ivy Tech Community College. Specifically, this module needed to teach learners how to correctly complete a CMS-1500 form to ensure proper reimbursement for healthcare providers. Completing the form is considered an essential function of a Certified Medical Assistant and is a required competency for graduates of the Medical Assisting program. Using the course outline of record and current accreditation standards, I developed the training presentation shown below which was done using Articulate.

Reflection:
At the end of this project, I was able to deliver a training course and evaluation tools that were effective and implemented immediately. As a new user to Articulate, I developed a greater understanding of this tool and its capabilities. The client was very satisfied with the finished product as it increased the learners’ performance exponentially. I was challenged as an instructional designer which made this a rewarding project I am proud to include in my portfolio.
